Synopsis
This session is designed to help parents and teens understand online safety and recognise the risks of online radicalisation. We'll cover how to spot the warning signs, identify propaganda, and break free from the harmful content loops created by algorithms.
We'll also pay special attention to gaming platforms like Roblox, where kids might encounter radicalisation in action-packed scenarios, and discuss the link between online and offline worlds, focusing on mental health and identity issues.
Parents will learn how to navigate these risks, use online safety features, and take practical steps to protect their children. We hope to empower parents and teens with the knowledge and tools they need to stay safe online.
